I've been accused of being rather "missing" lately. It's been a busy couple of weeks. We wrapped up the MOPS year (Mothers of Preschoolers - I'm on the steering team and help lead the Creative Activities for our group of 100 moms.) We finished our Bible Study. I pre-planned my entire Disneyland album. I got everything ready to go to Lummi Island for the first weekend of the season.
That's where we were this weekend. Me and the little ones anyway. Brian had to work over the weekend, so he stayed home and I took the kids to spend the weekend at our cabins with the extended family. For posterity's sake, I'll list our menus for the weekend. Keep in mind there are usually between 15 and 20 (or more) people at each meal, hence the double-entrees (for instance, we wouldn't normally have scallopped potatatoes WITH lasagna!)
Saturday: Breakfast - Cereal and sweet rolls. Lunch: Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Chips, Apples. Dinner - Lasagna, Scallopped Potatoes with smoked Sausage, and a variety of salads.
Sunday: Breakfast - Bacon and eggs (bacon cut up small, and cooked into scrambled eggs), muffins. Lunch - Ritz Cracker Appetizers (ritz cracker topped with a dill pickle slice and cheese, then melted under the broiler), fruit, carrots. Dinner: Chicken (I made 4 whole chickens in 2 crockpots and let them cook all day), stove-top stuffing, noodles with butter and parmesan, and a variety of salads.
Monday: Breakfast - Pancakes and French Toast (No lunch on the last day, we just eat an early dinner) Dinner - Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, salads.
The few photos I took (forgot to bring my camera this weekend) were of the coming home ritual of "Washing the Lummi Island off of the kids". Look at Sam's dirty knees!! And he only wore shorts the last day, it was too cold the first two days of the weekend.

So fun! I love the knees shot. Only thing missing is a band-aid. I thought they were standard issue for little boys.
