We've been studing Ancient History over here. For several days we talked about where writing began and how ancient alphabets looked in Mesapotamia and Egypt - (Cuneiform and Hieroglyphics.)
Of course, we don't just talk about history... we do it. So our first project was copying Cuneiform into clay tablets.
Sam chose "Mario" as his word to write in the clay with wedges and lines. No surprise there.
Hallie just wanted something short.
She chose the word "Love."

How fun! Ben did that too. I think I still have it. Are you using Story of the World? We made a chicken mummy. King Cluck and we still have him 3 years later.
