We've all been enjoying our study of Ancient Egypt. I just wanted to share a few more fun things we've done as a part of our learning...
We made a mummy from a kit.
We built pyramids out of legos, then out of sugar cubes.
We made mummy cookies. (Shortbread cookies cut out with a gingerbread man cookie cutter. When they were baked, we wrapped them up in fruit-by-the-foot! A fun way to reinforce a bit of what we've been learning.)
We've played with an Egypt sandbox. The kids have been able to handle and view replicas of mummies, sarcophaguses, pyramids, Egyptian cats, a Sphinx, etc, while hiding jewels in the sand for each other to hunt. It's been a big hit.
