She's Here!! Introducing Elizabeth Danielle Wright, born Tuesday, July 21st at 8:27pm by c-section (really big heads on both sides of the family!)
She's absolutely gorgeous, and a miracle for our family. She's my brother and sister-in-law's fifth baby and first child. Their first two were stillborn at around 22 weeks, and the next two miscarried, so we have prayed fervently and waited on pins and needles throughout this pregnancy, including the last (more than) two months that Amy has been on hospital bedrest. Waiting for news on Tuesday (they induced at 37 weeks) was excruciating! After she was born, the doctor noted the placenta had signs of abruption, yet another miracle that this sweet baby arrived safely.
(Baby Lizzy with Grandma - my mom)
We stopped at the hospital for a few minutes on the way home from the zoo (for Hallie's birthday yesterday) so I could meet Lizzy and my brother, Brandon, could meet our new children. She's very alert, very quiet, and seems like a very easy baby so far.
And yes, it's killing me already that my sweet niece lives an hour and a half away.

Wow, she has your lips! Seriously, that girl doesn't even look newborn. So big and alert. Don't tell your brother, but I saw that very look in Enoch's eyes the day he was born.

As someone who is going to be giving birth in 2 months to what I am told is going to be a big baby, your niece looks much older than a newborn...I am sure she isn't but that is how she looks. She is beautiful.
