Sorry. No picture. That'd be kinda cool, actually. ("Here are my lungs...")
The doctor finally called back about my chest x-ray from Friday. The summary is:
"Definitely some abnormalities."
Beyond just pneumonia?
"Yes. Something more chronic."
What kind of abnormalities?
"The x-ray was inconsclusive."
So...?
"I'll be referring you back to your regular doctor to figure out a diagnosis and treatment."
Should I move up my appointment?
"No, it's not emergent. Next week should be fine."
Well thanks, that was informative and reassuring. I'm glad it's not an emergency (I think I can assume that rules out lung cancer... hopefully!) But I hate not knowing what it IS for the next week. I am still down and out. Coughing, lethargic. Today's the first day I've really felt like my breathing is STARTING to improve, but there's still stuff in my lungs and chest. I need to get a little spark back before St. Patrick's Day tomorrow... that's one of those holidays I like to "play up" with my kids. And right now, I've still got nothing. School this week... workbooks and more workbooks, directed from my bed.

Well yes, they certainly wouldn't waste time if there was a chance of something serious. But I understand the unease of not knowing. Praying for extra energy and wellness for you! I'm always so inspired by what you come up with for holidays. I'm sure whatever you do for St. Patrick's Day will be lots of fun. :) Lord bless you Hilary!

Did you know yo can ask your doc for a photocopy of your x-rays? We did when Jazz broke her leg and Gracie broke her arm. Looks impressive in the scrapbook....and I would imagine it would on a blog as well. L-K
