Would you believe we actually went on vacation last month? These posts have been a long time coming. To break them up and make them managable (for me, amidst all the other exciting things we have going on), I'll post about one day at a time.
Friday was a busy day - amidst final preparations for our vacation, we had to drop off the dog to his sitter (his former owner), sell Girl Scout cookies for 3 hours split between two locations, and be ready to leave town when Brian got home just after 4. We made a stop in Kirkland for Teriyaki Madness, then continued on to our hotel in Seatac.
It was already the kids' bedtimes when we arrived, but they were squirrely, so we took them to the hotel pool, fulfilled our "Friday Dessert Night" by getting Cheesecake and Tornado Cake from the hotel's restaurant, played a round of "Magical Memories" (a Disney board game to get them in the mood) and watched some Olympics before tucking them in, at which time I read another chapter or so of Prince Caspian before sending them off to dreamland.
And if you were wondering, no, the children didn't have their own beds. On this night, Sam shared with me and Hallie was with Brian. And I tell ya, for such little people, they are BOTH bed hogs!!
