Just in case anyone that reads my blog is going to be at the ScrapArts performance tomorrow...
Not only do my kids still not know about the upcoming adoption plan, but Tyler and Hailey are coming with us to the theatre tomorrow, too! (This week is Spring Break for them.) It's part of the transition back home, but they still don't know that. (So don't approach us and ask if the kids are home already!)
Long day reading the kids records. Hard stuff to begin with, reading the details of what these children have endured. I had figured it would take us 2-3 hours of steady reading time. I was so wrong. We arrived before 9:30, we took a VERY short lunch break (maybe 20 minutes), and didn't finish until quarter to five! SEVEN HOURS, and that was with Brian and I each taking a stack. I was hoping to read it all with my own eyes, but there just wasn't time. Long day - good insight. These children need a whole lot of love, acceptance and understanding. Knowing as much as we can about their past helps us to be more understanding about their wounds and behaviors.

The time is coming when they can open up to a loving mother and father and begin to heal. May God Bless you all abundantly. I'm still praying!!

Prayers for this new beginning in their lives to be true to all Easter means to us...I think it is lovely that they are overlapping events. New life and promises we can believe in.
