While getting ready for church this week, we noticed one of the girls' dresses had gotten a bit short for Hailey... guess she's hit another growth spurt! So out came the sewing machine! I'd picked up some cute fabric and patterns in hopes of sewing some skirts and dresses for the girls, and this latest growth gave me the motivation I needed. I finished this simple pleated skirt that afternoon while Brian and the children were out picking blueberries.
And just for fun... I made a matching skirt for her doll, Tilly. She SCREAMED when she saw them on her bed when she got home.
And Hailey caught the sewing bug, too... she used some of my scraps to hand-sew herself a purse, which also apparently doubles as a sleeping bag for Tilly. She did a terrific job for her very first project!

Awesome seamstress in the making....it's incredible how sewing fascinates my children!!! Love your "camp"---you've made the difference in many childrens lives this week!!!!

too cute. I don't sew at all. Your daughters are so fortunate.
