Sure enough, tooth #2 is peeking out today, too!
Now, she may never crawl, since she despises being on her tummy, and much prefers STANDING to anything else... but she has teeth! :)
Went to court on Tuesday, a review hearing. Lots of strangeness in the hallway while waiting for our case to be called - weird comments I overheard from the birthparents, in addition to them not being as friendly as usual. Though a friend told me she went to every court date for her soon-to-be daughter and her biological sisters and not once did their birthmom NOT storm out of the courtroom and act angry and distant, when they had a good relationship generally. Maybe court dates are just weird that way. The only other hearing I'd been to was the termination of Gideon and Malaika's birthmom's parental rights, and she didn't show up to that, so it was open and shut. Since all of our previous children were placed for adoption (rather than foster), we weren't really involved in that whole process. Exept Natty, of course, but her SW didn't really keep us informed of upcoming hearings, or explain the benefits of coming to them, so we just never did.
It was expected that the birthparents would ask for more visitation (so great-grandma could come along and bond with K... they didn't.
We expected them to file a motion to have Baby K moved to her great-grandma's house right away (they are in the process of a homestudy that will determine whether she moves), but they didn't.
Basically, nothing happened... and that was strange, and a little unnerving. Are they planning something bigger? (There was a long private conference with the birthmom and her lawyer while we waited, so you have to wonder what that was about.)
So, we continue to wait.

wow. yes. strange, i agree. ok i'll keep on praying for little K. xo

Hi,
I follow Renee's blog and found your blog through her:) I am an avid reader and never comment here but I feel moved to say you have lots of support out there and we hope your baby stays with your loving family. She is obviously bonded to the mother who cares for her (you) and a great grandma seems a stretch... Still i know these things twist and turn and I pray it works out soon!!!
